Carl Guffey, Ft. Loudoun, Bass, 8/10/10
#1
I finally got to get out this morning. I have been spending to many hours doing other things. Water temp in the main channel @ 7 this morning was 88.1 and the air temp was 80 degrees, just a little warm. I found some fish but it was really strange. Most of the fish that I had been catching were in 30 plus ft. of water. This morning the majority of what I caught were in 16 to 18 ft and quite a few were busting minnows. The weather had been putting these fish down, maybe they are getting used to the heat. After the sun came up and it was getting just a it warmer I decided to take a boat ride. So I headed down to Tellico Village and then back to Loudoun, water was smooth and the boat was running goooooooooooood!
I caught most of my fish on a rig with a craw and most braking fish on a swimbait with a lip.
