I was sitting at home last night and called Tom after 6pm to see if him and his family wanted to do something.He called his wife and she had a friend from work coming over so we decided to come and fish on very short notice.I drank 2 energy drinks to stay awake because I am usually in bed by 9pm lol. We start off down river throwing worms and I caught our first keeper.We moved around a few times with no luck until around 10pm.We were fishing around harrison bay and Tom catches a big one on a spinnerbait around grass and then catches another good one on the blade. We see a runabout boat headed our way but it isnt turning CLOSER,CLOSER,CLOSER! We start hollaring and screaming! We hear a woman in a drunk slured voice yell "OH MY GOD" and the driver cut the wheel about 2 boat lengths from us! I crapped three different flavors and Tom called his wife and told her what happened and told her he loved her.It took us a while to calm down so after that we headed up river.We messed around and ducked into a creek way up river and started throwing worms on a shallow creek ledge with a few goodies on it.Tom caught a shorty and I caught a shorty and then I swung on a big fish and culled my own small fish.We didnt catch a fish after that.All night long we were harrased by bats! On our way back to the ramp I feel something on my shoe and its a bat ! It flies up my leg and I scream to Tom "Robert Pattinson is flying up my shorts"! Tom shuts the boat down and jumps up on the drivers seat like he was shocked by a tazer.We are both swatting at the bat and it flies away ! We ended up with 14lbs 2nd big fish and a 1st place finish. Big thanks to another well ran tx by the CFF crew.It was nice to see some old and new faces.
