Heath and I got out there for the Tuesday nite TX. Had 12 or 13 boats tonight, so not a very bad turnout.
Started out heading up the lake along with 4 or 5 other boats. We fished the shakey heads and dropshots for a good hour and 45 minutes. The bite was slow and water was a little muddy, but not too bad. Alot of work turned into 2 keeper spots there with one being our biggest of the night at 2.49lbs.
Headed down the lake after a while and fished in some shallow water for a little bit. Caught another 5 or 6 fish there. 5 were largemouth and 3 or them were keepers to limit out for the night. They all came off topwater toads and shakey heads.
The last fish was a keeper and was caught around 8:30... after it started getting dark, we had no more luck as usual.
Spent the last 30 minutes doing nothing LOL. Weighed in at 10... had 8.82lbs, good enough for 2nd place. 1st place beat us by just a few ounces at 9.01lbs. 3rd I believe was 8.22lbs?
5th place had 5.78lbs with only one keeper fish emoEek emoEek It was a spaaaat!! Congrats to Charles! (The director) emoApplause emoApplause emoToast
One heck of a fish... eveyone took pics of it and surely it will be posted right here on CFF soon. I know Dave Humbard A.K.A gruffy911 on here took a few pics of the fish... hopefully he'll post them soon! Good talking to you by the way, Dave
Thats about all for tonight, maybe half of the field weighed in but there were quite a few fish brought to the scales tonight including a couple 3.33lb spots.
Good to get out there with Heath, been trying to go with him for a while now... but we finally were able to, and did well!
Be safe on the water guys emoUSA
