I took my brother-in-law crappie fishing yesterday (Thursday) AM. We caught 19 crappie around docks and a couple of bluegills. Fishing was slow. About the same conditions as my report from yesterday when I fished alone. 1/32 oz jigs with 2" bobby garland slab slayers with the hot color being mo glo outlaw special. I also caught a turtle on my first cast. It has been a while since I last caught one. He was happy that we let him go. We stopped fishing around 11:30.

Then today, Norman (Labman) took me bass fishing and was the weather every nice. Cool breeze, no humidity, no clouds, no bass either. We each landed 8 fish but only one spotted bass. The other fish were 2 crappie (40-50 feet deep), 2 bluegills, 1 catfish, and 10 yellow bass. No largemouth heads to be found. Norman thought that he was a jinx today, but it may be me. He has been catching bass with everyone else this week, but we couldn't buy a bass. We had fun though. I had to quit early as AT&T was coming to fix my DSL line. I have been without internet service for a couple of days, but as you can see, we are now back up and running. Nothing picture worthy today. emoGeezer
