Carl Guffey, Ft. Loudoun, Bass, 8/26
#1
I went out this morning in between painting shelves and I made a good choice. The weather was beautiful with low humidity and the main channel has cooled off just a bit with surface temps in the main channel @ 82 degrees. The fish are being just a little more active chasing minnows but they can be difficult to catch in the brakes. Most of the better fish came on a carolina rig out of 30 ft of water. They still haven't moved from the deep mode, just coming up after bait more often. I also fished a large spook and a jerk bait. I had two blow ups on the spook but no takers on it or the jerkbait, although fishing several different colors. It was just a good day to be out.
