FAMILY FISHING CLINIC AT OVERLAND POND PARK SEPTEMBER 18

DENVER, Colo. -Colorado Division of Wildlife and Denver Parks and Recreation present a Family Fishing Clinic at Overland Pond Park, Saturday September 18, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Families and friends are invited to come learn about fish anatomy, fish handling, casting and reeling, and urban wildlife.

"Denver residents are fortunate to have many places to fish right in their own "˜backyards'," said Melanie Kaknes, District Wildlife Manager for Denver. "There are natural spaces all over the metro area where families can get outside and enjoy wildlife recreation without getting in the car. We look forward to showing how much fun can be had at your local water for a small investment on your part."

WHO: New or seasoned family anglers

WHAT: Family Fishing Clinic

WHEN: Saturday, September 18, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Overland Pond Park, West Florida Ave between South Platte River Drive and South Santa Fe Drive

HOW: Free admission. Register by calling 303-291-7137, limit 50 attendees. Participants aged 17 and younger must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Kids 15 years and younger get a free fishing rod!
