Met Big Jim at his place this morning about 6:30 to crappie fish for a couple three hours. He had chores to do so couldn't stay all day,
Took a while to get 'em to bite, figuring out what they wanted but finally found the moves and colors that they liked and then "game on" we caught 25 in about an hour but after that it really slowed, emoScratch emoAngry I took Jim back to his dock and went on down river to look at some docks that I thought might hold fish, emoTongue I did find a few here and there with the new toy and managed to add 13 more to the count along with 2 blue cats and a couple 'gills that we caught early, emoSmile All in all it was a pretty good day with the count and learning a little more about the side imaging, (that's a fun toy!)
It was a beautiful day on the lake, very little wind but the sun was really hot after 11 AM. Looks like next week it will begin to cool off and maybe the water temps will get back down into the 70's. Today it was 80* when we started and 83* when I quit about 2:30 or 3:00.
Best bait was BG electric chicken and crystal shad with tail lights. I tried several others but those got the most bites, emoThumbsup
Thanks to the guys who are calling with invitations to fish but I've got to finish this bathroom remodel and then the boss says "no more work this year!" Think I can believe her, why no, emoSmile There's always something emoRolleyes
Pictures are just fish, emoSmile
