I picked David up at the Grasshopper ramp about 7:30 AM and we went on a crappie hunt. Started out on some blowdowns in the creek and caught a couple, (they were very slow) so moved on to, hopefully, better places. Fished docks, deep structure, and blowdowns for the day. Fishing was fun but the catchin' was slow all day, emoScratch With the weather and the moon phase we thought it would be much better but couldn't find any real concentrations of fish
We ended the day at 4 PM with 21 crappie, 3 bass, and 3 &#39;gills. I dropped David off back at Grasshopper and headed to the Sale Creek. I passed by a log on the way out and thought, &quot;I should scan this wood to see if there are any fish on it&quot;. So wouldn&#39;t you know they were there, as you can see in the pic. I fished there for about 30 minutes, catching 8 really nice crappie and 1 &#39;gill. Then for the next 15 minutes, nothing. So I thought, &quot;I tired, ready to head home and they have quit so I&#39;ll scan it again and go.&quot; The other pic shows the results, where they went I don&#39;t know, emoScratch All in all it was a nice day for fishing and enjoyed David&#39;s company and his expertise on the side scanning, emoThumbsup <br />Water temp was around 78* in most places. Fish were mostly caught on a 8-10 count using BG electric chickens, PanFish Assassins and BG Boyau Boogers on 1/32nd leadheads.
