SNUFFY, WATTS BAR, BASS, 9/11/10, DAVE
#1
Fished a Blueridge Bassmaster Club Tx Saturday .....first time on any lake for either of us since late May due to hot weather and family stuff. First stop, Dave put a 20 " Smallie weighing 3.97 in the boat on a jig. Moved around close to Iron Hill and caught a few more slicks (14 1/2 -3/4) and I finally got a keeper on a T-rig Lizard in the shade along the main channel about 1:30. Moved back toward Rockwood launch site and Dave set the hook on something that doubled up the rod in about 30ft of water. Thought we had a whopper.....flathead about 20lbs .emoBang Wound up winning the TX and Big fish with a whopping 5.40.
Checked my MercMonitor for gas usage and a map for Milage ran and came up with a little over 30 miles on 3.7 gallons on the nearly new 225 Pro XS. Seems unbelievable but the Monitor is extremely accurate within a 1/10 or two on a 25 gallon fillup. Anybody getting this kind of milage on your boat? Running on a 20' Bullet.
