ArmySarge, Nisqually River WA, King Salmon, 9/18
#1
Had the oppurtunity to chase some King Salmon today. Ended up with 3 in the boat. Same technique as most of my North West fishing adventures, Back Trolling eggs and plugs. The biggest one 28 lbs which is a blast to catch in swift water. The other 2 went 18 and 15 lbs. We maybe 1 mile up river of the Puget Sound and to my surprise there were seals up that far chasing fish. All in all not a bad to be on the river. It is different to fish a river that is affected by the tide.We started at 0600 the river was low and getting over some of the shallows, and I mean shallow water about 6 inches deep, with a boat was indeed a task. By 0930 the river had risen about 14 Ft which made the trip back up river a little easier.

Looks like I have to get the Smoker ready and see what I can make with Salmon. Any recipes out here?

Trying to post pic emoBang
