Skeeter, Chickamauga FLW College series, Bass, 9/18/10, Kennasaw State (Jake and Tommy
#1
Paired up with 2 great guys from Kennasaw state today for the FLW tournament. Blasted off #12 and ran to our first spot that one of the anglers stumbled upon while prefishing. It was a small hole proablly 20ft wide by 20yds long in the middle of a huge flat. He said he was running down river and just happened to be looking at the graph when he crossed it and came back to check it out. I was literally a hole in the middle of nowhere. There was alot of bait fish on the surface when we pulled in. They had 4 in the boat with plenty of time to spare. We left that area and hit some near by docks where I seen some of the best pitching and flipping I have ever witnessed. The man could put a dime size jig in a quater size hole from 20yds out!!!!! And without making a ripple on the water!!!! They had told me for the 2010 season that they had yet to bring in a 6 fish limit. Around 12 they got their first limit of the year. I was glad to see them do that here while fishing is rough. Fish were caught on Jigs, Dropshots, Plastics and traps. These guys were very respectfull of my boat and took very good care of it. It was great learning new areas and techniques from these great anglers. They ended up taking 3rd place and qualifying for the regionals.
