Just got back from the coast yesterday. Caught 5 trout in the deschutes. Fishing was kinda slow there. Then in Bandon, I went out with ken and brent on the Barber K, and nailed 12 rockfish and a 25 inch ling cod, then the next day got a 28 pound king. My dad got one that was 40 pounds, one of the largest of the year for them. After that went to Newport, and sat on the Embarcedero dock for a week. I ended up with 20 crab, about 50 big perch (2-4 Pounds), 20 or so kelp greenling, 10 nice black rockfish, and broke off 4 lings. I also went out of Pacific City with Ed Ealsy. Let me just warn you, that guy really sucks. The one day we got out, we only caught 40 rockfish, and 1 ling. The other two times he dinked us around, one day saying that "The wind is too bad" and the next left us waiting on the beach while he got drunk, and his deckhand got stoned. I really wish we would have just gone out with Joe Hay. I had a really enjoyable trip, besides Ed "the weasle" Easly. I'll put pics on later.
