Got to the landing at about 7:15 this morning and talked with Pointer who was also launching his boat at the time. Beautiful morning and the weather is cooling off some finally. Started shallow looking for a top water bite. Seemed to find some on the ends of the grass edges close to the open deeper water. Nothing really all that big, best one was about 2.75 lbs. Moved to some grass flats and tried top again. Nothing doing on the top, started using a spinner bait and nailed a couple more with the best only about 2.5 lbs. That bite shut down on me also so I started drowning a shakey but only managed a couple more keepers that were barely 15 inches.
Had a hard time hooking up today, lost several on different baits....broke one off on a shakey, lost two on a blade and two on a shakey with several missing the top water and one coming off. emoScratch Struggled with size and hook ups. Had about 12 bass make it into the boat with the best five only going about 11.5 lbs. emoRolleyes

I guess I needed wiskers, colby or beetelspin to catch the big ones so I could net them for them. emoBig

Still it was not a bad day and the weather was great today. I would not of had enough to do anything today in a CBA, I hope by next weekend I can find a better and bigger pattern. emoBooHoo Jmax
