First time back on the water after I tore my calf muscle month and a half ago. I was ready! My brother in law came up from Jefferson Ga to fish with me. We started out about 830 from woltiever and went to training dock #1. Got three from there on bobby garland slabslayers. We hit several more docks close to deeper water and seemed to pick up a few as we went along. The bite was slow with no real hot spots. Fish seemed to be on the bottom with a few exceptions. Water temps was 77. Stubbie butts and baby shads also produced on a 32nd head. Wind was rough at times but not to bad. We ended our day at 1 with 9 keepers and 4 short fish. We went to Pronies for lunch then went to Riverpark.
Riverpark threw me because they were pulling no water. Never seen that before. I called the Tva and it sead at 5 they would have one generator going so we rode around downtown to kill some time till then. Ran into JDK he was doing his thing catching some spots but turned us on to what he was doing so we heeded his advice and started to catch spots on the crankbait emoThanks . After 5 we headed back to the dam where Kevin got a nice little smallie his first.
No pics so I guess this is all just a fish tale but we had a ball and it was great to get back on the water!
