We had our last club tx at woods. First time on the lake for us. Coming over Mount Eagle ,we felt a quick jerk. Thought we hit a dip or something,couldn't be the BRAND new ford truck! Stopped at a little store to get a drink and sandwich . Started toward the ramp and transmission started slipping real bad. Started not to put in , afraid of not being able to pull up from the ramp. After talking and figuring we couldn't get any help until later we put in. We had a small limit by 9:30 . Call the Ford they said to call road assistant they couldn't help. Went back to ramp to wait on tow truck around 11:30. We got pulled out and taken to local dealer. Had one of the guys from club to pick us up and bring back to Chatt. Thinking we had no chance with such a small bag, ended up with 3rd . Turns out Woods doesn't like to give up fish. Would like to back and try again under better circumstances, maybe when we have to go back up and pick up the boat and truck.
