tie1on, Nick(River Park), Whites,yellows and SM, 10/2010, Fall Weather
#1
After the last few trips in the boat not being so productive, I was dying to get into some number, so I grabbed my ultralight and headed to riverpark in search of some white bass.

Got a late start, about 1pm, but it was so beautiful emoSun the wife was off and had the baby so I figured id get out. The water wasn't flowing as much as id liked, but there was large schools of shad everywhere with lots of action. I probably caught about 50 or so whites and about 20 yellows. Wasn't much size to the whites, but thats how it usually is with little or no current.

Best part of the day was a nice smallie that took about 5 min to get in. He came off right as I was trying to get him out of the water. emoBawl Looked to be in the 2lb range.

Not the biggest fish but using a 5ft ultrlite with 3lb test is alway fun especially when you get in the bigger fish.emoDance

My goal this fall is to catch a smallie in the 3lb range on the ultralite. emoThumbsup emoThumbsup
