Met Jerry at CFP about 9:00 to do a morning of crappie fishing. I had the boat in the water and was waiting for him to walk over to the dock from his truck. He is getting old and kinda slow, so I thought I would throw a "sammy" topwater around the ramp. 2nd cast right at the base of the ramp and big blow up, nice 2-2.5# LM. I am ahead for the day before he even gets in the boat, emoLaugh .

Jerry hasn't been fishing much this summer and fall and is about to be out of action for 3 months with shoulder surgery, so we are squeezing in a couple of trips before his operation. We started on a floating dock and picked up a few nice keepers and Jerry got back his dock shooting skills. We moved around a lot, hitting bluffs, docks, openwater structure and just enjoying the morning. We caught a few at most stops and then moved on. It was a beautiful day on the water and we ended up with 36 Crappie and Jerry took home about 22 very nice chunky keepers for his and his daughters freezer. He could have kept more, but was complaining about cleaning all of them before we even got back to the dock. emoPoke . All fish caught on BG Shad in mo-glo blue ghost on 1/16th and 1/32 oz jigs. Most fish at a 6-8 count. Think we only had 4 or 5 dinks.

Had a great time Jerry, and glad to see you get that "big'un. See you Tuesday for your last trip for awhile.

Regards, Labman
