The wife and I are joining in the ABA couples trail this year to spend some time togather and have fun. Knowing that she WONT have fun in the weather they are calling for Saturday I figured I would go and look for some fish and hopefully come up with a game plan. Put in at Chester frost (late). Made a short run up river to fish the back of creeks. Been reading this is where they should be feeding at. Got to my first stop and seen fish busting bait on top ALL over. Cast everything I could at them with no takers. Seen boat size bait schools on to water but once again no takers. Started to move to my next spot and noticed my cowling was not setting right. I go to unlatch it and the rear latch falls off in my hands! front latch is the only thing holding it on. So anyway.. Remove cowling and find all the parts to the latch but the mounting bolt. Put cowling back on and putt around to the other spots. Fished shallow to deep most of the trip with not a single bite.
Stopped by Fish N Fun and picked up a courtsey bolt from the fine fellers there. emoThumbsup
