Bassert had volunteered to do some video dock shooting for me in the past, so I called him and asked him to go with me for a little while this morning before I had to take Mom to keep an appointment.

First thing that we did was run a roadbed out and marked the edges from where the road crossed a creek. Dr Phillip and I had put out some very large cedar tops on this roadbed a couple of years ago and we catch crappie from it from time to time. After I got it marked on my 500C, we then proceeded to go fish and do some video work.

We were able to get a few fish on video and so I told Pat to get his rod out. You could tell that he was chomping at the bit to get to fishing. We had a fine morning with 32 crappie coming to the boat. Pat caught a little slimer and I had a quick release on a bass at the boat. The bass looked in the 2-3 lb range. We caught our fish on ringer stingers and BG slab slayers mostly. I did catch a few fish on a new BG lure that is 2.25 inches long. Colors ranged from pearl with a tail light to ghastly minnow to albino shad. Nearly every color worked a little bit. Wind got to be a pain in the behind and we ran out of time so we put the boat back on the trailer at 12:30. We started just after 8:00 AM.

Thanks for all the work, Pat. I'll check the video out and see how you did. This is just a trial run for the dock shooting video that I have been threatening to make for the past 2 years. I will post a couple of pics and Pat has a couple on his camera to post later. emoBig
