Louie B, Carters Lake HUGE Spots, Spots, 11.05.10, Hummingbird Product Manager/Engineer
#1
I had the pleasure of fishing with Hummingbird Product Manager, Adam Broughton. Adam and I were doing some field testing and sonar recording with my Hummingbird 997 SI. We were on the lake from 8a-4p, a couple of hours of our day was spent riding and recording w/ the SI. We got some great footage with the SI of the underwater timber, brush piles, gravel bars, boulders, etc, etc..... I've had my unit for 2 years but have primarily used it for locating cover/structure. I've always used traditional sonar to locate schools of bass. Today Adam and I were able to locate some really nice schools of spots with the SI. It's great to see that HBird actually have fisherman working in office, Adam is no office rat, he can catch em.

We boated approx 20 spots today. If we would have stayed with the drop shot today we could've caught another 20 or more fish w/out question but we were on a great big fish bite today and decided to leave the 2lb fish alone Our best 5 weighed well over 20lbs. Big spot of the day weighed 5.28 (weighed on Cul-M-Rites), we had 2 other spots over 4, and 2 other 3's along with a lot of other solid keepers.

All our fish today were 20-30ft deep caught on Drop Shot wacky rigged Cane Sticks, Grubs, and Fish Head Spins.

Here's just a few of our pics from today. Adam will come back and post some of the other pics he took with his 50lb camera LOL. These pics were taken w/ my Blackberry.

LB
