Jim and I met up around 11 and grabbed some lunch and headed to the lake for a good few hours. Havent been out since Sunday so I was having withdraws emoBig
Bite was awful all day until the last couple hours. After the sun got low it turned on pretty good.
Fished around points, mainlake and creek bluffs... flats, coves, docks just about anything. But only managed 10 in the first 4 hours or so (it was slow, we just managed to hook about everything) Caught all but one of them on dropshots. The other came off a jig. By 4PM things started to turn on pretty good on mainlake points. We fished 4 points in the next 2 hours, managed another 18 for a total of 28 spots. Also missed alot more in the last 2 hours, they mostly came off dropshots... one did come off a spook. (NAILED IT LOL)
Fish were mainly in 25-50FT earlier in the day, but after 4 they had moved up into the 5-20FT range mostly. The water temps were 60.5-61.5F (good to see the long cold nights offset the warm days this week emoWorthy)
We have some clouds coming in Sunday through Tuesday as well as cooler weather, will be fishing Sunday and Monday hopefully! Bite should be good then, its gotta be... yeah I know these bass are sick of the high pressure bluebird skies emoRolleyes
Will attach a pic of 2 of the 3 16 inch spots we caught tonight... good luck to all, take care emoThumbsup
