"Pure Michigan Hunt" Applications Available Now!
Applications for Michigan's second "Pure Michigan Hunt" are currently on sale. Designed to give applicants the chance to pursue the "hunt of a lifetime" and also to raise revenue for fish and game conservation, the Pure Michigan Hunt will allow three lucky hunters to hunt for elk, bear, spring and fall wild turkey, and antlerless deer all in one year.
Applicants may purchase an unlimited number of Pure Michigan Hunt applications for $4 each now through December 31, 2010. Three applicants will be chosen in January 2011 for eligibility to participate in the 2011 hunting seasons.
Note: Applying for the Pure Michigan Hunt will not negate preference points for bear or weighted chances for elk. Also, hunters who are disqualified from applying for future regular elk hunts because of past success will be eligible for the Pure Michigan Hunt and chosen applicants will not be excluded from future limited-access elk drawings.
