Decided to go to Guntersville today. Day got started off slow. Went to Stevenson to put in but ramp was closed. Seems there was a drowning there. A fisherman has been missing in the area from the steam plant down river just below the ramp. Put in at Long Island Creek to acess the river that way. Anyway, caught alot of nice fish today. Nothing over five lbs. Caught them on spinnerbaits, rats, ribbets and a few on pointer jerkbaits. Fish were from the mouth of the creeks to the backs of the creeks. Loaded up the boat to trailer down to mud creek around two pm. The rescue was still underway as we passed back by the ramp at Stevenson. Put in at mud creek and ran out to the river. Commenced catching fish pretty quick. Town creek began to light up around six pm. Lost a hawg in there on a spinnerbait. Sure hope this warm weather stays around. Havent even picked up a rifle this year.
