Onieda Ice ?

[:/]Does anyone know if theres any good ice on Onieda and if its accessible. Lookin for some perchies to eat and haven't heard much with the warm weather lurking around. Would appreciate any info.[][][]

oneida freees really well every year BUT the power company doesent let people ddddive all of the way up (or is it the folks who own the house up there?) because of safety reasons.... unless something has changed from the year before last

if you go from the grace side you can get to the houses... (maple grove hotsprings) but if you go on the preston side (narrows) you can only get as far as the damn. you can snowmobile from either place.

last year I went to onida camping in january and drove from the preston side all the way to the campground on the reservoir.. If you have a good four wheel drive it is very accesable course I had my truck then and it had 38'' tsl super swampers on it and would go through anything had to pull out a jeep and a toyota pickup while there so now that I start to think of it unless you have a big truck or suv with some tires ment for the soft stuff then just park at the dam and walk in or go from the grace side... By the way where is a good spot on onida duing the ice season? I've only iced it once and got one good stike and that's it in 4 hours of fishing up by the dam..

would imaging due to here where I live up the canyon smith canyon has about 4 feet of snow literaly 4 feet deep!!!! Got stuck in it today on the wheeler
