A Little Slow
#1
The board has been a little slow, so I thought I'd share a couple pics a friend in San Diego sent me to get your fishing blood flowing. This is a 200 pound blue marlin caught in Rancho Leonero on 8/9/03. Hey Tindude, you better get that yak so we can chase the salty critters when I move. There isn't anything you can't catch in a yak LMAO. Enjoy

Wouldn't a fish like that drag you around pretty good? I suppose that's part of the fun though... Nice fish!!!

Hey Kayote,
Thanks for the great pics. Is that your buddy with the merlin. I will be able to get a used yak around march. Tiny Tincan and I were on the Corba site picking out color's on the explorers. I like the blue. He wants the hot pink. What did the dude do with the merlin after he caught it.

Have you seen the article in Field and Stream called "Striper Crazy". It's about this dude out in NY who's fishes for Stripers in the Atlantic With only his wet suit, flippers, knife, rod and reel and live eels. He floats the current near Montauk. Dude, that sound's like a blast to me.

Any new's about the jobs yet.

[cool]I had the fix in for Friday night, so you would be happy. It was supposed to go 4 to zip, but one of the snakes got the script wrong. When the cubs got too cocky though, we had to slap them with a 13 - 2 game to show them what it's all about.

Hope you had a good time, and that you left lots of money in the local economy. Still crying because you didn't call. But, I'll get over it. I probably won't call you the next time I come visit my money in your town either.

Maybe BLM will be more sociable over the weekend. But, then if he gets a good case of striper boils, he may need medical attention...to surgically remove the grin from his face.

They call it a Texas sleigh ride. Even a good bow will pull the yaks around. That's part of the fun. Works like a human drag system.

Good Yak Fishing, Kayote

The marlin died. You can see the cut near the tail where it got wrapped in the line and injured. Good thing marlin are delicious. No news on the jobs yet, but IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!!!!. There are guys in San Diego that fish off their surf boards. They even have board surfing tounaments. I think it was the predecessor to Yak fishing down there.

Good Fishing, Kayote

PS You know, all the companies make double yaks so you could take the wife or Tin2. Cobra even makes a triple. I want the new Prowler by Ocean Kayak. Comes out in a week. Hottest fishing yak on the market. Toys, toys, toys..... Life is good.
