Grouper Hunt

December 31st, tomorrow, is the last day of Grouper season. The Saltlicker will be rolling out in the morning out of Murrells Inlet. Good luck to all that are on the hunt for that last season bottom dog.

Sorry for the late update. We made it out that morning. It was actually sloppy for the first little while, but it ended up leveling out for a beautiful day. We caught lots of big seabass, but no grouper. I was pretty disappointed. Come to find out, there wasn't a boat out of MI that I heard of, that had a keeper in the boat. They must have known it was the last day before the ban. Oh well, we'll get them next time. But, the seabass eat better anyhow. [
 ]Going to hit it again here before too long. Probably out to about 45' of water or so. Lots of big seabass shallow right now. [signature] |
