Hemenway 1/8/10
#1
Headed out to 33 hole with my fishing buddies looking to fish off the point down from the middle parking lot, only to discover it was swarmed with people fishing lol. We contemplated hiking to the spot from the left parking lot, but decided to go to hemenway instead.
We parked in the lot and walked out to the point right outside the tires. I was tossing my silver rapala and lmb pattern topwater for a few hours, but got nothing. Then i remembered that they stock trout at hemenway and decided to whip out the storm trout imitation lure, after tossing it out a few times, my baited rod started lurching towards the water so i grabbed it and set the hook hard. As soon as i landed my fish, all of my buddies decided cram into my spot. I landed my first decent striper in a long time, but still no luck on any lmb lol. We fished for another two hours, one of my buddies had another bite, but lost the fish.

What were you soaking on the bait rod? Anchovies? Seems like everyone is getting active again. I'll have to get out there soon. Nice catch!

No luck on the trout lure?

Went back out to Hemenway on the 12th from 10am-2pm. Fished off the pier for two hours only to have my bait stolen time and time again by the annoying ducks, then moved onto the point next to the tires and didnt get any strikes. I used one baited rod and one with a storm trout imitation swimbait. On the night of the 11th, my friend pulled in a 3lb and 6lb striper off the pier. The 3lb was caught on anchovy and the 6lber was caught off frozen shad. The 3lber is the bigger fish in the first photo.
