First Bass on my new Skeet Reese rod!
#1
I got my new Skeet Reese "Tessera Senko Toad" fishing rod yesterday and took it fishing today. I won the rod by catching the largest Largemouth Bass in the contest held here at bigfishtackle.com. (2010 Bass Fishing Rival Contest).

I caught a 14.5in (15in if you close the tail like in tournaments) Largemouth with the rod today and took a photo then released the bass. Here is the photo of the fish and my new rod and reel.

I couldn't be more pleased with this rod. It out performs any other rod I have ever owned. Balance is perfection. The sensitivity is amazing! And after a couple of hours playing with the resistance and breaking system I was casting a 3/8oz football Jig about 60 yards...[shocked]

I want to THANK BIGFISHTACKLE.COM for the contest and this amazing peice of fishing tackle that I now own!!![fishin]

First pic the fish, second pick the rod and my reel and the lure I caught it on, third pic the pond I caught it at.

I'm so glad I found this website and have made all the friends I now have here. Thanks everyone for a great year of chat and fishing in 2010 and I know we will have some great times in 2011!

I know someone will ask what reel I am using on this rod so here ya go.

Pinnacle LP100
[ul][li] 12 lbs. / 120 yds. line capacity [/li][li] Unlimited Anti-Reverseā„¢ [/li][li] Reinforced graphite frame [/li][li] High speed 6.2:1 gear ratio [/li][li] Quick-access removable side cover [/li][li] Audible click star drag [/li][li] Available in box and clam [/li][li] Weighs 7.8 ozs. [/li][li]Model LP100[/li][/ul] 6 stainless steel ball bearings
adjustable magnetic cast control

It cost me 41$ at walmart but that's the most I've ever spent on a reel... lol. I use EZ mono SPIDERWIRE 10lb test line on the reel.

I love this reel, for the price it goes perfectly with my new Skeet Reese rod.

I couldn't be more pleased with them both.

For as light as the rod is it is extremely tough, especially for pulling a worm through the grass or pulling a frog over matted grass. That's the easy part, this rod will pull the fish out after you hook it, that's where the 'heavy' comes in nice.
