One_eyed_jack and his family along with myself and the girl went out to stay at our property in Altonah. Great weekend, didnt do a ton of fishing, more relaxing, but did enough to satisfy us. We first stopped at a irrigation canal that spawns off of the Lake Fork, I was using a red bladed panther martin, and had either a nice hit or follow every cast. On some of the follows there was some nice fish, looked like browns from 14 inches to somewhere around lower 20's. We then decided to go up to Moon Lake for the rest of the evening. We fished the jet pool below the dam, for some fast action. caught some planter rainbows and splake, just trolling caught a koke, and OEJ, well it might have been a new state record, but I will let him explain more on that. But red seemed to be the color up there. They were hitting salmon eggs and red san juan worms like crazy!!!! But always a good time out in the Basin, now time to concentrate on bringing home a elk!!!
