Ammo question
#1
ok Picked up a 9 mm pistol today and I am wondering about ammo. What grain is good for both range and protection rounds? I see that there are three choices of 115, 124, and 147.

Just my opinion, 115's are great all around rounds. Use cheaper fmj's for the range and pick up a box of gold dot hollow points or the newer extreme shock rounds for your personal protection stuff.

Like was said, unless you need something to die the 115s are just fine. I've found walmart has the best prices and usually end up with the winchesters. You can also go to the gun shows and pick up cases of 500 and 1000 for cheaper per round than at walmart, but that's 200 bucks on bullets in one lump.

Cabelas has a sale going on herters 9 km 115 great for 9.99 per 50. It doesn't ring up that way but is listed on their website as such. They will honor the web price. These are fmj rounds.

With today's technology in bullets a 9 mm is certainly capable of killing.
