Went North last Fri/Sat and hit the cold waters of MT. Fishing was pretty slow but for the most part it was a great trip[
]. I friend and his wife came up late Fri and we went out and tried the burbot fishing for an hr or so- I landed my first one[cool][cool]! I should have spent more time out there-fished about an hr and missed maybe two other bites is all. Fileted that thing up when I got home and wow-those are some tasty fish!
Caught a few browns trolling and we had at least 4 rainbows on when fishing the NE bank with chromonids but couldn't keep them on. Those fish have some shoulders on them! Water temp was 44 in the top 15 ft or so and dropped to 38 around 30ft down. I think fishing will only improve in the weeks to follow[cool].
