Hi All,

I'm new to the board. I live in Southern NH and although I have fished for much of my life, I've only started to get a little more serious about it recently.

As I kid I would fish for panfish and bass and catfish using worms and other bait (chicken liver for catfish, etc.). Recently I started fishing more frequently, often with my kids (ages 10 and under). We live near a fishing pond that has lots of panfish, catfish, perch and smallmouth bass. Until recently, the kids and I would use worms and catch mostly catfish and perch with the occasional smallmouth thrown in.

Recently, I bought a Rebel grasshopper ultralight lure and have been catching lots of smallmouth bass. It is very exciting to see the fish dart up and break the surface and strike the lure. I am hooked on bass fishing and would like to learn more about this subject so I can increase my odds of locating and catching smallmouth bass.
