Pauly's single hook frog
#1
So yea,my buddy Alfred told me
Quote:watever you did to your frog,do it to mine

Its really helped him out.As you already know,I removed the double hooks and added a single hook.Alfred is a paraplegic and I hate to see him struggle with his other frogs,I felt it was the double hook design that was messing us up.He strikes well but remember he strikes from a sitting position. He actually never caught a bass on his regular frogs such as mine but he used it with the double hooks always. It was great to see him finally land a nice bass with my frog althogh he still says he doesn't rememer lol.I fishedit too for years with the double hook and really don't remember catching much on it then.

i've also been curious about this frog. I thought it was a really good looking frog and was interested in ordering it but wanted to hear some feed back about it before ordering it.

I use different frogs for different kinds of fishing. I always prefer the double hooks on hollow bodies and a screw hook single on plastics. When I fish frogs it's usually pretty thick stuff.

Here's a Pauly tip,rig the hollow frog with conventional worm hook,I use an eagle claw lazer sharp roundbend off sethook size 3,make sure hook has that 90 curve to it near the eye to hold the worm in place.I have a couple ways to rig it,one easy way is to 1st remove everything from from frog including its weight, frog is now bare,2nd insert tip of hook through nose, and out were double hooks would, underneath frog, use same hole,3rd turn frog so hook points up and pass it between frogs legs, hook tip shoud just be touching back of frog to keep it weedles,I use the same part that keeps the frog from slidding down, its a barbel used to secure the frog.I pass my line through that, and the eye on my worm hook, the frog tears sometimes so I use some goop to repair it,keeps it from tearing,my buddy used a bike patch even were it would tear, worked for him till he lost it to a gator [laugh][laugh][laugh]I would lose lots of fish due to the double hook,am I on to something?Even Alfred called me genius ...Hometown hero.....in the right hands, the frog is mightier than the sword...

Pauly's frog in action! Alfred lands a couple as well, towards mid day my frog landed on the jaws of a gator hidding in the lillies, and that was the end of that.[shocked]

[#800040]try not to laugh from that monster that gets away at the end[/#800040],the hook actually got the frogs leg and my drag was a bit loose.I've had the hook go through the frogs leg before, but not today....

boy that hurt [Image: sleepy.gif] Here, more pics of the best frog I've ever used in the whole world... Pauly's frog......[signature]

Yep, know the feeling! Live in Nebraska so we don't have gators... but lost a frog to a big ol' nasty SNAPPING TURTLE last Saturday! [mad]
