LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 76 degrees; 1014':
Cooling surface temperatures have dissolved the algae
bloom which slowed fishing in August. With the improved
water flow from the recent rains fishing is picking up and
the outlook for fall fishing is very good.

Largemouth are good in 5'-12' over flats along mainlake points and in feeder creeks around the Apple Orchard on topwaters such a 1/8 oz. Tiny-T or 1/4 oz. white/char. Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com.) and Pop R's. In Morgan and Beaver creeks and the feeder arms Rat-L-Traps(www.rat-l-trap.com), Fat Free Shad crankbaits, 7" Snap Back blue flake worms are all productive as are watermelon Bush Pigs & Whacky rigged wtrmelon/red Scoundrel worms (www.cremelure.com) along ledges of bluffs behind docks positioned over deep water.

Stripers are good trolling Hyper Striper jigs(www.kgenterprise.com) and drifting live bait in 28' below Flag Island. Subsurface and topwater action is improving
White Bass are slow in 20' on creek points.
