Lake Mead Bluegill/Sunfish?
#1
Hi everyone this is my first post here. I'd like to teach my nephew how to fish for sunfish and I was wondering if there are any shore accessible spots at lake mead. to catch them. We've tried the urban ponds in town and havent had much luck.

Thank You

Spend a day at 33 hole exploring the coves, there are a lot of nice calm waters around there where the panfish hang out pretty thick - My favorite place for sunfish is about a mile past 33 hole at 'Sunset Overlook', the fishing is much better there in my opinion - Give it look! You'll have a great time [fishin]

Don't let 4lb discourage you, there are bluegill all over Mead.

All you need is a bobber adjusted 6 to 12 feet above a #10 octopus hook, one small BB split-shot weight a foot from the hook, and a 1/2 inch piece of nightcrawler. Find a deep cove with plenty of vegetation. Fish the deep side of the weeds, and be patient. If you don't catch a fish in 30 minutes, move to a different spot in the cove. If that cove fails, move on.

You will find fish.
