Hey Sean Hi and G'Day , Sean I keep a Cabin Cruiser on the Bohemia River in Maryland . I was reading through articles on the Big Fish Tackle Site in an E-mail which I just recieved about Fishing on the Sassafras River and etc. .

Sean I wanted to inform You and Your writers the recently in the Rivers of Maryland the there is a warning of contamination in the Rivers which is harmful to Children and Livestock (Dogs included) . The Contamination is brought about by the Blue Green Algae present in the Waters . Reported just recently is the Sassafras River on the Maryland DNR Site [#0000ff]http://www.dnr.state.md.us/dnrnews/pressrelease2003/082903b.html[/#0000ff] another E-mail Subscription which I follow of course .

While not in anyway bad mouthing MARYLAND in any shape or form I wanted to bring this to the Attention of You and The Staff at Bigfish as this is a matter that will mostlikely worsten with the influx of even more Fresh

[#0000ff]http://mddnr.chesapeakebay.net/hab/news_8_29_03.cfm[/#0000ff] this last on reporting the Betterton Beach on the Sassafras . This Algae Bloom in the Year 2000 when I first learned of it was brought to my attention when I reported to a Professor in Newark Delaware (the only place i could reach that Saturday Afternoon). Trying to find help for my Dog (an avid Swimmer and ingester of water while Swimming) who let Me tell yah "Looked Really Bad" like He was bitten by 80 to100 Bee's and Barfing to beat the band . I send this as an avid fisherman nothing more , just looking out for my fellow fishermen .

this comes as no suprise to me. for years I have been screaming about toxic waist dumping.

the things they are dumping in the sewers today fall in to the same catigory as DDT in the 50's through the 70's They have no long term testing to show what happens to the environment when these bio degrasable cutting oils are released.

after working in those cutting oils I have first hand experiance as what happens comming in contact, breath the fumes I dare not even think what swollowing it would do.
