I have been fishing Weston and Devil's creek some more over the past couple of days. Last night I fished Devils Creek for a couple of hours and did decent once I found where the fish were. As soon as I found the fish I was getting bites every 3-5 minutes. I ended up landing four and lost a bunch of others. Today I went to Weston for and hour and a half or so and did ok. I didn't catch very many fish but the quality was there. I caught a nice rainbow (another one in the 20" 5lb range). The fishing slowed down so I headed over to Devils Creek again. I only had about 25 minutes of light left but I figured it would be worth it and it was. I ended up catching 3 rainbows and 2 bass and missed another few fish in that period of time. One thing I've noticed this year is how fat all the fish are I've been catching out of the reservoirs. The little bass I put a picture of was almost as fat as it was long (I know a little exaggeration...but still) Overall not a bad couple hours of fishing this evening.

Kind of hard to miss Devils Creek, it is just off the side of the freeway.
Nice fish. I don't think I have ever caught a 20" fish that weighed 5 lbs. It would have to be almost as big around as long (20" length and 15" girth) Like to see one though.
I fished DC a few years back...remember a lot of under water trees!..LOL
Fishing is really good for mid sized eatin' style fish.
Isn't there Koke in there as well?

I could be wrong on the weight. I didnt put it on a scale. I did catch one that was 4 lbs a couple weeks ago (on a scale) and this one was a lot fatter and heavier. I could barely fit my hand around it. So its just a guestimate. All I know is that a lot of the fish ive been pulling from the reservoirs this year are super girthy and great fighters. I should bring my soft tape so I can do the weight formula next time.

That is a beautiful fish! It looks like the food resources in the reservoirs is doing well with the extra water. Good to see such nice healthy fish.

Thanks. Weston was slow today, only caught two small bass. Devils creek on the other hand was great once again. Landed 9 trout, a few dinky bass, and lost another 15 or so trout. Finally caught a decent one as well. Overall another nice evening.

Nice fish FFF. Are you sure you aren't doing a freudian and saying Devil when you mean Deep? The photo and specie seem more akin to Deep Creek Res.

Haha ya. Deep creek has been dead slow. The best fish have been at weston. Devils creek has been more cookie cutter 12-13" with the occasional nicer fish.
