Hey all, I'm gonna be moving to Waxahachie (30 miles south of Dallas) for school. Any advice on places to get in on some bass or cats would be welcomed.

Yep yep yep.You are close to Joe Pool Lake, I believe it is one of the Up and coming lakes for Bass fishing,as for catfishing I'm not that sure.Stay away from Mountain Creek Lake,To me it is too dirty to have any fish that you can consume ,it is better for sking and jet sking than anything else.But since you are moving close to Dallas why not try Lake Ray Hubbard it is located just on the border of Rockwall and Dallas right off HWY 30. it has both catfish and Bass worth fishing for,It is where I do a lot of Bass and catfish fishing and if you decide to go there let me know because I can show you around and take you to some of the hot spots on that lake and to some of the other lakes around the area you might want to know about.Have fun and stay cool from the heat,this weather is a killer.
