Cap'n Crafts
#1
I actually used to be a racing skipper - but that was a whole 'nother dimension. Ah -the Mayor Daley Reghatta...

With the cold temps/wind - seem to keep chickening out on a float venture, and the river romps haven't warranted mention.

But - in Coyote Caverns there's been some craftwurk underway in the lee time as we wait for ice to arrive. Between adding fluff to the back-end of some spinners, thought I'd mess with some good 'ol RedNeck Bottle Cap lure ideas. Taking the basic bottle cap to a 'next-level' with spinners, fur-tails, even glow paint - who knows. Got "rattles" in the main bodies, and most caps start out with a pretty good color base - straight silver/gold, or yellow/red/blue - stripes (lettering), maybe more glitter .

Even gonna try some on ice - some w/o the rattles- with the cap open- more flip/flop on the drop.

I just love glow - and if you're on before dawn - I've even seen them attracted to the camera's light. Gotta check it out!

Should be entertaining, if nothing else. Recycling you could say.

I painted up some ice-jigs I got recently. Just love "glow".
About time to start looking for wax-worms!

Those look really good. Your skills are definitely progressing quickly. I've kind of settled into the tackle making routine too. I was hoping to hunt for some big browns on the Little Bear, but it's just way too cold for me now.
