CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 75 degrees; 908.31':
Largemouth are good at daylight in 4'-8' on motion baits
like a 1/4 oz. threadfin Rat-L-Trap(www.rat-l-trap.com),
7/16 oz. white tungsten(www.terminatorlures.com) spinnerbait and 3 inch swimbaits(www.canyonlakefishing.com).
Smallmouth are good in 8'-14' of water using 4" green pumpkin Whacky Sticks(www.cremelure.com) or Senkos, Tiny Traps and 3" rootbeer green flake grubs. Later in the morning we're slowing down our presentations and working standing timber along main lake points pitching a watermelon/char. tail Bush Pig and smoke red flake Snap Back tubes.
Stripers are slow in 50'-70' tight-lining live goldfish and
perch or trolling Hyper Striper jigs(www.kgenterprise.com).
White Bass are active at daylight in 30+' in creek channels and the dam area on 1/4 oz. silver Pirk Minnows, white grubs and minnows.
Crappie are good in 6'-10' tight to standing timber and brushpiles on minnows, silver/glitter tail 2" grubs(www.cremelure.com).
