Bass Fishing the Sunken Lands expedition in Spring. HELL w/video
#1
Went to the Sunken Lands today and hiked about 7 to 9 hours back in there and out. Didn't get a strike. I made this video to show you guys the extremes I will go through to catch big bass. It's only 10 minutes long because I just shot during times when I rested and then on my way out.

I only do this about 6 or 7 times a year because it is back breaking to get to these spots. By the way some of these spots I am the only fisherman in the whole state that will go through this workout to get to.

I didn't catch any fish and I wish I had to make the video better but this is to give you an idea of some of the ponds, creeks and sloughs I get to fish in the Saint Francis Sunken Lands State Wildlife Management Area.

Fishermen and hunters get lost in their every year. I know it like the back of my hand. Hope you enjoy the video because I am going to upload every expedition I make in there this year.

I plan to make one for wavefishing.com lures at the bridge where I caught nice bass last week next. I will go there sometime later this week or next week and keep the video rolling while only fishing using their lures.

Many of you will laugh watching this because I cuss a couple of times (sorry bft) and didn't want to edit out any of the cuts I made to show just how HARD it is to get to these spots.

the EMBED IS NOT WORKING ...... I have tried every method and used every url youtube gives

Just wanted to add the fall I took today was more than I thought. I had a skateboarding accident when I was a youngster down in Galveston Island and dislocated my right arm from my shoulder. Complete dislocation, the doctors told me they never see anything like it. They told me it would be a problem the rest of my life and during today's expedition that fall I took, I landed on my right hand and now my shoulder is killing me. So I might to go to the doctor tomorrow. Just goes to show how dangerous this place is even if you know it. I have medical bills just from this simple little outing today.

It's really starting to bother me and hurt a lot just from that small fall of a few feet into that hole in the under brush. Once the video is up and you see what I do you will understand this post too.

You have to remember I am turning 50 this year and probably shouldn't even be venturing back into this area but I love the fishing spots back there.

But some great men and thinkers can say it better than I ever could:

[#0000FF]The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore. – Vincent van Gogh[/#0000FF]

Hope you like the video once it is uploaded.
