Pike and musky fishing

Hello! I was just wondering if you guys have any tips/methods for me on fishing pike and muskie. I have never fished for these two fish. And I really want to add these two species to my list! I have been attempting to catch them at Independence Grove forest preserve in Illinois. Thanks for the help!
