Tortuguero National Park area Tarpon

I am going to the area for a day in late July-I plan to fish the day I am there for Tarpon or snook. I have an option for a full or half day. What is the rain like at that time? Trying to decide whether to go the half day if it is going to be raining all day or risk the full day. Any advice? And Tarpon or snook, or can I do both in a day? Thanks!

Try "Toucan and Tarpon" next time you go. CCabin is 30 bucks a night. Canoe with a 6hp motor is 20 bucks an hr. 28 ft panga with dually 115s is 65 an hour. I bagged a arpon at the mouth of the river that topped 200 lb. There was also grouper, jack crevalle, sharks, snapper and snook in the river. Worht every cent as far as I was concerned
