My brother and I got the privilege to go down to Willow with someone that is very knowledgeable of the river and how the striped bass act down there, he has more passion for the sport than anyone Iv met. We hit the water at about 8:30pm on friday and headed down river to a few of his spots. At around 10:30 WHAM my rod bent and my trout pattern swimbait was getting dragged out fast. Got her to the boat and tried weighing her but the scales batteries were dead, the guy I was with said around 8 1/2# maybe almost 10#. We kept fishing until 4am casting the entire time, but only had a few hits and short runs.Took my catch home and made some awesome fish tacos. Sorry the pic is so dark its from my cellphone, now I know to take a real camera with me next time. [inline "Willow Bass.jpg"]
