Canyon Lake /Upper Guadalupe River Guide Report

CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 68-70 degrees; 908.83' :

Largemouth are very good in 3'-12' feet using a white 7/16
oz. tungsten spinnerbait(www.terminatorlures.com),
threadfin Frenzy Poppers(www.canyonlakefishing.com) and
1/4 oz. Bleeding Shiner Rat-L-Traps(www.rat-l-trap.com).
Watermelon/red 4" Scoundrel worms(www.cremelure.com) on 1/16 oz. jigheads will produce over rockpiles along deep
water bluffs if the bite slows down under high, clear skies. Upriver, both smoke/red flake Snap Back 3X pitching tubes and 7" blue fleck Power Worms are good on channel dropoffs.

Smallmouth are good to 3-1/2 lbs. over rockpiles in 8'-20'
on pumpkin Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs, watermelon
Whacky Sticks (www.canyonlakefishing.com) w/char. dipped
tails, rootbeer Hula Grubs on 1/16 or 1/8 oz. jigheads and
watermelon Craw Baby's (www.slidingweight.com) w/char.
claws.

Stripers are very good on the surface early on blue glimmer
Snap Back jerkbaits(www.terminatorlures.com), Frenzy Walkers and Red Fins.

White Bass are fair at daylight along 20' points vertically
jigging Pirk Minnows, Tiny Traps(www.rat-l-trap.com) and
Spoiler Shads.

Crappie are good tight to timber in 8'-14' on live minnows,
Swirltails and Curb's crappie jigs.
