That sturgeon has beautiful coloring, almost albino looking.
The ones i have seen are more golden in color, is this not the norm? nice fish.

I live in Hansen idaho and all the fish I catch here are that same color. The biggest I've seen is 11 ft. The biggest I've caught is 9.5. I'd love to go up north and try for a monster like this one. Anyone wants to try in Idaho send me a message, we fish for fun I am not a guide.

Seems like the normal color I see and caught up at CJ Strike. Here is another pic from the Fraser.

The Sturgeon on the Columbia grow BIG too and you can catch over size gators in all the pools below or above the dams -- I've personally seen a couple of 14's and many many 12's... It's all C&R except for the Indians that have very few rules on what they do...
Just go during the Shad run and you can catch the fish of a life-time
Look back at the old photos of some of the monster they pulled in with horse teams...

I am not sure who told you sturgeon fishing on the columbia is catch and release only... "It's all C&R except for the Indians that have very few rules on what they do... "
but that is not the case. There are slot limits and they open and close the season frequently but you can keep sturgeon. I grew up in the Dalles fishing the columbia river and sturgeon are one of the best eating fish out there. A 14 foot fish would be amazing, in my 27 years in oregon a 12 footer was the biggest I heard of being caught.
