I got a couple nice trout on topwater this morning down near 3 Sisters Island. The water was like glass and fish were chasing shrimp to the surface. The rocket lifted off on time and I had a great view.
The first trout was 22" (4.25 pounds), and I let it go. The second was 20" and came from the same shoreline, but it was 2 hours later as I was heading back in. It was foul hooked in the stomach and a porpoise was waiting for it so I brought that one home for supper.
The rain chased me back to the ramp around 10:30.
