Provo River
#1
I had a hankering to catch some browns, so I went to the lower Provo today. I've tried to fish this river before, but I always got skunked. I wanted to try some swimbaits that I just bought, thinking maybe that would entice the browns. I stopped below the first diversion dam and fished there for a minute. Had a few bites, then hooked up with this brown.

It was nice to finally catch something out of the Provo.

The dam wasn't producing anymore, so I found a run right before the bridge. While retrieving across current, this brown slammed and fought good.

After that, I drove up to Deer Creek for a shot at a Walleye. Bad move on my part! Didn't even get a bite out of Deer Creek. I tried spinners, spoons, swimbaits, and tube jigs, but nothing worked. Shoulda stayed on the Provo.

Yeah, I keep going up to DC to try and hook a rainbow, but it never happens. I didn't get a reading of the water temp, but maybe it's turning over and the bite slowed.
