Fair enough. Newton would be a little bit of a drive for you. Let me know how Mantua treats you and what the ice condition is. Good luck, and I really hope you get into them.

Last Friday, Newton had a good inch to an inch and a half more ice than Mantua. I drove out there Sunday, and there were guys fishing out in the middle. Plus, it has been colder on average up here than in Mantua. There are tiger muskie, perch, crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, the occasional green sunfish, and channel cats. (They stocked some channels in there last year. Talked to a couple different people who have caught them this year, but don't waste your time and try to target them.)

I think I may just head up to Causey tomorrow in the afternoon. A buddy from Eden said he caught a limit of Kokanee on Sunday. He said there was about 4 inches of ice. If all else fails I may just nymph the river, but I heard the Kokanee and I think I may put my shotgun away and hit the ice.

I have fished all over. But we do fish a lot off the dam and the east side. I usually walk on from the south west corner, across the way from the boat ramp.
