It was a little too cold for fishing, but the fish didn't mind. Got my steelhead in rabbit @ 35 feet, the perch in 44 ft, didn't high grade.

The Steelhead means Trout, and Bunny I would think means Bunny Gultch. But I am still working on the Starvie or Starvy thing[crazy]

I could be wrong but I don't believe there are any special regs for Starvation so check this chart out http://www.utahfishinginfo.com/dwr/limits.php [signature]

Starvation Reservoir doesn't have any special regulations. The trout limit is 4 fish with no slot limit. The limit on perch is 50 fish. The term "Starvation Steelhead" is just a nickname for the rainbow trout in the lake that can get very good size. There are many rainbows in Starvation now that are 14 to 22 inches in length, more on the shorter end and a few toward the upper end of that range.

The reservoir is a Utah State Park and entrance fees are charged where they have facilities. Good luck. [signature]

I know what a steelhead is i just don't know what bunny or rabbit means. A steelhead is a rainbow trout that migrates to sea like a salmon, they just live longer than salmon. They don't live in utah he was just talking about a rainbow trout.

Rabbit Gulch is an arm of Starvation Reservoir on the west side of the lake. The access is a road that turns off of Highway 40 about 3/4 of a mile west of the bridge. Those of us who fish Starvation sometimes call the area Bunny Hollow or Bunny Run, again just a nickname.

We caught the rainbows last week in the bridge area while fishing for perch. We usually put one line down about 15 to 25 feet with a jig tipped with a piece of nightcrawler. The rainbows tend to cruise around all the time, so when they pass through you can get them to hit. We got the perch fishing right on the bottom in about 50 feet of water. The bottom is very flat in the area south of the bridge so you may have to move around to find the perch. The rainbows seem to be everywhere. Mike [signature]

Sorry about the confusion, I was talking about starvation and rabbit gulch, rabbit is one of the easiest access points and my friend has mobility issues. I only called the trout steel heads because compared to the usual Utah planters they they seem like salmon. I caught one brown but didn't get a pic before he went back, I didn't wan't to freeze his Finns. The trout and perch were full of zoo plankton, a good sign in my opinion.

How far did you have to walk out to fish the area you caught fish in? Thanks for any info and posting your report and pic. That one perch looks like it could go 12" or so.[

The trout were only about 100 yards from the truck the perch were south of the bridge not easy access there park on the south side of 40 and follow the trail I used a pack because a sled can be hard to control going down that hill.
